Gov promises to sustain quality, accessible healthcare initiatives
The Osun State Coordinator of Tinubu Support Organisation, Otunba Olusegun Fanibe, yesterday, urged women in the state to support the re-election bid of Governor Gboyega Oyetola.
He stressed that Oyetola’s victory at the poll is significant to the presidential ambition of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2023.
The group reiterated its commitment to the success of Tinubu in 2023 and his nephew, Oyetola, in July 2022.
Fanibe made this known while admonishing the women’s wing of Tinubu’s support organisation in Olorunda Local Council of the state at their meeting held at Islahudeen Grammar School, Osogbo.
In a statement by MacDonald Oladipo, Director, Media and Publicity, Tinubu Support Organisation, Fanibe said the task ahead of the group was to ensure the success of Oyetola at the poll, adding that it would be a prelude to the presidential ambition of the former governor of Lagos State.
MEANWHILE, Oyetola has said that quality and affordable healthcare delivery remains one of his top priorities for the masses and promised to sustain Osun Health Insurance Scheme in the interest of indigent residents.
Oyetola stated this, yesterday, during a community engagement programme organised by the state’s engagement centre in Onigangan town, Ayedire South Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of the state.
The governor, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Civic Engagement, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, said that huge investment had been made to revitalise the health sector and ensure restoration of healthy living among the people.
He said in a bid to provide affordable healthcare to the masses, the administration had ensured rehabilitation, revitalisation, renovation and upgrading of 332 focal primary healthcare centres.
He further said another batch of two million doses of COVID-19 vaccine had been made available for the people to minimise the effect of the pandemic in the state.
