Lakers star LeBron James will return against the New York Knicks on Saturday night after missing the last five games with a knee injury. He last played on Jan. 25 against the Brooklyn Nets.
James, 37, has been dealing with irritation in his knee that forced him to the bench, pushing his season total of missed games to 17. The Lakers went 1-4 during that James’ recent five-game absence.
In 36 games played this season, James is averaging 29.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. The Lakers currently boast a 25-28 record, good enough for ninth in the Western Conference.
