Step 1: Prep and Prime
You’re going to need a whole lot of lift to nail this Tik Tok trend. Start with a volumizing shampoo and conditioner to lift the root prior to styling. We recommend Living Proof’s Full Shampoo and Conditioner, for silicone-free oomph and a healthy dose of shine.
After washing, towel dry your strands and spray with your go-to heat protectant. Last but not least, reach for a volume spray to top it all off. Ouai’s Volume Spray is the perfect pick. Step 2: Blow Dry + Rollers
Now for the fun part. Section off your strands to start. Beginning with the bottom layer, use a blow dry brush (we’re big fans of Drybar’s The Double Shot Blow Dryer Brush) or a regular dryer with a round brush to fully dry your hair. Once dry, wrap 2″ sections of hair into large rollers and pin in place. Continue this process until all of your hair is wrapped in rollers. Be sure to roll away from the face for that wind-blown aesthetic.

Step 3: Brush Out and Spray to Finish
Leave your rollers in for at least 30 minutes (the longer the better!). When you’re ready, remove the rollers and brush your curls out for a fluffy, layered look. Spritz with flexible hairspray, like amika’s killer Fluxus Touchable Hairspray, to maintain that light texture.
