Fredonia Farmers’ Market holiday celebration
The Fredonia Farmers’ Market is held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday November through mid-May at the Masonic Lodge, 321 E. Main St., Fredonia. It features a variety of vendors. The market manager has gift certificates and heavy-duty shopping bags for sale. Cash, credit cards, and SNAP benefits are always accepted. Santa will be visiting to greet the little folks. The Boys and Girls Club of Northern Chautauqua County will supply children’s activities and book give-aways.
Dunkirk Public Library Christmas Craft Day
From 10 a.m. to noon at the Dunkirk Public Library, 536 Central Ave., kids can ick up a craft kit with four crafts to make at home. All directions and pieces are included. A treat bag containing cand and small toy surprises will also be given out. All are welcome at this free event.
Fredonia Food Pantry
The Fredonia Food Pantry, Fredonia Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Ave., will be open from 10 a.m, to noon. The pantry serves the needs of Fredonia area code 14063, Pomfret, Sheridan and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. Number of bags given out depends on family size.
Free picture with Santa
Harley-Davidson of Jamestown, 1951 E. Main St., Falconer, One picture per family. Santa and his reindeer will be present from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Jamestown Holiday Artisan Bazaar
11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Downtown Jamestown, First, Second and Third Streets, the event features handmade crafts and goods, Santa and elves, live music, hot cocoa and candy canes.
Winter Wonderland of craft show
Sixteen vendors will be selling goods from noon to 5 p.m. at the Dom Polski Club, 179 Lake Shore Drive E., Dunkirk. There will also be drinks available and Christmas music.
Dunkirk Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol NY-351 laying of Remembrance wreaths
Civil Air Patrol members will help Forest Hill Cemetery in Fredonia to remember and honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes at noon. Roger Tory Peterson Institute Holidays at the Lodge

Lakeshore Humane Society open adoption hours
The Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk, will hold open adoption hours from noon to 3 p.m. For those who are not vaccinated, masks covering the nose and mouth must be worn at all times on the grounds of LHS. Masks are optional for those fully vaccinated. Those who are ill or have tested positive for COVID are asked to delay a visit. Tours of the facility will not be given. St. John’s United Church of Christ hosts “Charles Dickens Presents: A Christmas Carol” starring Mike Randall

Forest Lodge Sunday Family Breakfast The event takes place at the Lodge, 321 E. Main St., from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This all-you-can-eat breakfast consists of eggs made to order, pancakes or French toast, sausages, fruit cocktail, toast, juice, milk, coffee and tea. Adults and teenagers 13 and up are $9, Children 6-12 are $5 with those 5 and under, free. As part pf the kick-off of a NY DeMolay youth organization, a veterans hygiene drive will be held during the breakfast. Hygiene and personal care items will be collected for Veterans One Stop out of Buffalo. Monetary donations will also be accepted. Visit ACNC for a holiday open house all about the critters! There will be live animals out and ready to visit, some animal specimens and artifacts to explore, a craft station to make a holiday gift for the wild critters, a behind-the-scenes eagle tour, and mini-presentations about the live animals every half hour. Admission for this event (or the Nature Center this day) may be a gift taken and purchased for the Giving Tree, located in ACNC’s lobby. Gifts should be wrapped and presented to the receptionist redeemable for admission. Cash and credit cards are accepted as well.
