    Delhi’s daily Covid tally continues to surge with 325 new cases

    Delhi’s daily Covid-19 tally continued to surge on Thursday after 352 fresh cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 18,67,206, according to the health department’s bulletin. Thursday’s case count is 26 more than that of Wednesday’s when 299 infections were seen. 

    However, this the second consecutive day that no fatalities were recorded and the toll remain unchanged at 26,158.

CBI breaks into Bengal gang rape accused’s home to collect evidence

The Hanskhali rape has rocked the state since last week. Brajagopal was arrested on April 10 by the Nadia district police. His friend and alleged accomplice Prabhakar Poddar was arrested on April 12, hours before the Calcutta high court ordered the CBI probe.

Centre turns down appeal to release 3 dearness relief installments

The finance ministry on Monday turned down a request from pensioners to release three instalments of dearness relief (DR) held back during the peak days of the Covid-19 pandemic as part of the government’s expenditure control measures to fund urgent relief work.

AIIMS to start dedicated clinic for advanced Parkinson’s from Saturday

4 terrorists killed in encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian

KS Eshwarappa to resign tomorrow amid row over contractor’s suicide

The minister’s statements come two days after Santosh Patil, a right-wing leader and a contractor was found dead in an Udupi hotel, blaming the minister for his decision to take his own life.
