BELOIT—The School District of Beloit Board of Education will be losing its Executive Director of Business, Human Resources and Operations JoAnn Armstrong.
Armstrong’s resignation was listed on employment recommendations on Tuesday’s Human Resources Committee meeting agenda. Armstrong has served the district for six years. Her last day will be Jan. 28.
Armstrong oversaw all business arenas of the school district including outsourced partners for transportation services, food service, technology services, and custodial and maintenance services.
Armstrong declined to comment on her future endeavors at this time.
Prior to her current role, Armstrong served as the Director of Finance with the district for three years after serving a year in the Rockford Public School District as the Allocations Manager. Prior to her time in Rockford, she served as the Accounting Coordinator for the School District of Beloit. Prior to her work in Beloit and Rockford, Armstrong has had 13 years serving in Illinois public school human resources and finance offices and nine years in human resources with various federal agencies, according to earlier information provided by the district.
